Dusk feasting

Mornings are for loved ones, to keep their soul bright
In mid-day, work and fight with all your might,
Feast and tell of our deeds only when dusk shatters the light.
An old Air dragon saying. Origin unknown   Most dragons of the Continent almost unanimously follow the ancient dietary habits introduced by Air dragons - and possibly even Sun Dragons - of old. While most dragons are fully capable of eating at any point in the day, it is customary to eat at dusk, in what is called "Dusk feasts".   Dusk feasts are an occasion for dragons to gather in a predefined place where Hunters and Greencarers prepare meals for them. Smaller tribes may have only one Feasting area, the bigger ones may have a dozen feasting areas. Food provided is generally free and of low to middling quality. Nobles, Tribe leaders and other very well respected dragons or professions get their share first - and it is not uncommon for them to also have meals specially prepared just for them - or those that crave more meat in their portion to have to pay gems for the privilege.   A typical meal in Dusk feasting consists of many different kinds of nuts, spices, fruits, vegetables, mushrooms, fish and meat. The preparation and consistency, as well as ingredients, differ heavily based on what is available to the tribe in question, but it is expected for everyone to bring their own clay or stone bowl or plate. Eating without a bowl or plate is generally considered barbaric, although this rule generally doesn't apply to Water dragons and to Fire dragons.
