Guardians

of the order within the Air dragon society and an exclusively-male profession within their hierarchy. Considering the fact Air draconic society is heavily female-oriented, becoming a Clawstopper is the best way for a male Air dragon to attain any semblance of power and recognition amongst their peers, something that attracts majority of them to join this profession rather than be commanded by females for the rest of their lives.
Becoming a Clawstopper within Air dragon society is not easy though and only young males with predispositions to be swift fliers and strong combatants will be considered, also Queen and her Advisors can always reject any application from any male attending the training.

Career Progression

Junior Clawstoppers (0-3 year of service) are usually assigned to Senior Clawstoppers (3+ years of service). Only Senior Clawstoppers can strive to become a Clawmaster, commander and leader responsible for the actions of his subordinates.

Other Benefits

Higher station, this allows them to have higher autonomy. Provisions are provided by pre-assigned civilian males.

A simple lock and key wooden mechanism that binds wings for criminals, sacks from animal skins with provisions, a permanent tattoo on their shoulder as a sign of their station.

Body paint required for camouflage, chalk, coal, clay tablets and dried animals skins for record keeping.

Workplace

Several caves. One, generally darker and less lit which houses criminals for petty crimes. A cave for Clawstoppers to gather in and get assignments from Clawmaster. Last one for personal Clawstoppers of the Queen

Injuries are fairly common, death and maiming is likely to occur in times of war or when Witless dragons start encroaching on the Air dragon territory

Legality

It is forbidden for Air Clawstoppers to sire offspring and heavily discouraged to pursue relationships in general. It is expected of them to be loyal only to their Queen, Clawmaster and Advisors. Obviously, family could become a conflict of interest in case the family in question must be arrested.

Breaking the rule

In case a proof of Clawstopper siring offspring is found or they themselves are willing to sacrifice their station in order to start a family with a dragoness they like, they will be stripped of their station and their tattoo scorched away, effectively becoming a common male in the hierarchy assigned to serve the female they have offspring with if possible.
