Mutō Family

The Mutō family are a group of people who claim to be related, directly or indirectly, in part with semi legendary figure Takeshi Mutō. Takeshi Mutō himself did not have any sons or daughters, however many of them to have been born from a watermelon just as Takeshi supposedly had. Their claims are unproven, however as expected many come to doubt them. They all do have traits similar to the figure and all in common. They all have white hair, they are all buddhists, and all of them have taken up some military or combat role. In telling who is a real part of the family or someone simply claiming to the jurisdiction falls to the emperor, however ultimately in tradition it falls to the Mutō Spirit. When finally declared part of the family they are put in as second in command to 狐宗, Kitsune sō, Fox Buddhism the first in command being Masato Mutō.
