The Corpse Wolds

The Fyris Wolds are the marshy plains leading from the river Fyri to the Temple at Uppsala, and were the site of many historic battles. During Ragnarok, thousands thought succor from this holy place and made pilgrimage, but were cut down by Helbuar or other pilgrims, seized by a sudden madness. It is nowadays a forsaken, corpse-strewn, wolf-haunted place. Few of the pilgrim’s rich offerings remain for the picking, but many seek the derelict Template at Uppsala for its treasures and for use as a Place of Power, and so travel this old path.
