Midgard
Many said the age of the Viking ended when its last great king Magnus berfott [barefoot] died under an Irishman’s axe in Ulster, 1103.
Nine days later, the snows started and the sky went black.
But the Vala's prophecy was only half-right. The earth was not all-consumed in flame. It did not sink into the sea, and it did not rise again green and fair.
After three years of winter, the world re-enters that savage age, bathed in fire, wrapped in ice, and drowned in the blood of the gods.
It is now 1107, one year after Ragnarok. As it was when the world began, the northern ice and southern flame cradle Midgard -- a world broken to reveal primordial magic and ancient mystery.
Midgard is the setting of the Wolflight (WL) roleplaying game, a historical fantasy set at the end of the Viking Age.
