Root Tunnels

They say that in the wind and tremors of Ragnarok, the World Tree itself shuddered and the other eight worlds fell into Midgard. Those who have visited the Root Tunnels, though, go one step further and say that the World Tree was uprooted. Wanderers sometimes find colossal tunnels betwixt ancient, dusty, and no-less-colossal tree roots. Some bring back trinkets of dwarven craft from Svartalfheim. Some have been driven mad by visions of Nastrond. Most don’t return. The learned speculate that the correct route could take one to any of the other worlds from Midgard, but few are willing to make the trek.
