Personal history

Karung worked on a farm as a herdsman of little repute. A deeply-devoted Christian, he was devastated by the death of his wife shortly after Ragnarok to the sudden appearance of a rotting disease. He lived with his two daughters on the farm in which he worked before becoming a founding member of the new settlement at Aggersborg. His younger daughter, Frida, was taken by a werewolf en route to Aggersborg   Despite his religion and despite his apparent decrepitude, he quickly rose to prominence due to his skill at arms and fair dealings among the settlers.   In the early days of a settlement now destroyed, Karung, as de facto chieftain, was faced with a mutiny over rationing of food. Eight men rose in revolt against Karung, and, back-to-back, he fought them all. Every combat ended with a brutal slice through the mutineer’s sword-hand. Karung wears the bones in pouches hanging from his belt, earning him the nickname "Ten-Hands."

Stubborn and outwardly cold-hearted, but extremely fair, consistent and moral.
