The Alabaster Lady
Alabaster Lady Nimarwen (a.k.a. White lady, White Witch, Pale lady)
A white bedecked palanquin makes its stately way through the street and into the square. You sharp ears here whispered comments about The Alabaster Lady. Through the many layers of fine material, you glimpse the outline of a tall and elegant female dressed in white robes. A veil covers a delicate head obscuring her features from further view. Slender fingers, occasionally brush aside the covering curtains to allow the occupant a clearer view of her surroundings.
Nimarwen is also known as the Alabaster Lady by the most of the locals of Caras Celairnen and the white witch by others dwells in one of the trade estate houses on the mount of the town. She is never seen without being fully covered in pristine white. Thus many do not realise she is indeed an Silvan elf. Throughout her years dwelling among men she has perpetuated a myth that an Alabaster Lady is selected and trained in secret; each generation subsequently taking on the mantle of the great trading house.

Personal history
In the mists of time the Alabaster lady (Nimarwen) wandered under the canopy of stars after the birth of Arda. Sundered from her kin she learnt to sing from the Kelvar and did not learn Elven or mortal tongue until many ages had passed. At the dawning of the sun she first laid eyes upon one of the first mortal men and was enchanted by him. Edananar and the Nimarwen plighted troth with each other but before they could be wed they were sundered. In the wars that followed Edananar sought to return to Nimarwen but was bewitched and turned into a frog.
In the destruction of Beleraind after the first age, Edananar was lost to Nimarwen. Throughout the ages she has searched for her one true love, and now she may have found him. Living in the small townport of Caras Celairnen for many years Nimarwen has used the trading network to search for signs of her lost love. She has been surprised to hear recent reports from the nearby marshes that there is cave where a stone frog was heard to speak. She is now employing as many adventurers as her substantial funds can sustain to send adventurers into the swamp to search for the statue and return it to her.
Accomplishments & Achievements
A successful trader, who keeps her extensive trade network low key and her ability to create wealth equally secret. She has no desire to attract attention to herself.

Motivation
To the PCs Nimarwen will appear detached and aloof, as she indeed does to most of the population. She travels around the town on a litter born adorned in white muslin and silks when she has need of being seen, but is equally adept at slipping thought crowds in disguise.
What drives Nimarwen is to find her beloved and release him from the enchantment that binds him. To this she has been patient, building a trading network with links across Middle Earth. The result of this longevity is that the network generates a considerable income. More in fact, than can be revealed in Caras Celairnen. Nimarwen of course has no real need for this wealth, but instead rewards those who bring information, her de factos, and to expand the network.
Should the adventurers release Edananar along with his wedding gifts back to Nimarwen then she will be most grateful and could prove to be a useful benefactor. Of course the resoration of Edananar will be bitter sweet as no she will have only a limited number of years to live with her one true love.
Relationships
History
The pair met in the first age as the sons of men migrated westwards. Sundered by a spell cast by an evil elf on his way to bring a dowry to his beloved. Edanaar spent many years as a frog. At some point perhaps some brave adventurers will reunite him with his princess.
