Laug av Vannmennen

The mighty River Lhun flows from the icy wastes of Forochel, past the Dwarven roads, and down to the Elven lands of Mithlond. Naturally, such a useful trade route requires skilled navigators to transport goods down the river. The riverman of the Lhun have spent years travelling up and down the river. Generations of acquired knowledge is shared within families. Controlling the trade route the families were soon able to command increased fees and so it became important to protect these routes to prevent less scrupulous river travellers from taking trade away.

Families with fleets of river boats pay a fee to the guild. The guild spend this on negotiating transport deals with various merchants.
