Tower of Wisdom

The Tower of Wisdom was once the centre of magic for the Zoranite Order.
Located far from civilization, on the Island of Eyes, it is in an area rich in magical energies.
Though abandoned for centuries, the tower still stretches to the heavens. A defiant symbol from what now seems like a distant past.
The building has been sealed for since the downfall of the Order, and people avoid the place for fear of the magical wards.

Purpose / Function

The Tower of Wisdom once stood as the centre for the studying and teaching of the magical arts for the Zoranite Order. It was effectively the centre of their government, as many mages would rule the Empire through proxy rather than remove themselves from their centre of arcane power.

Architecture

Far from shore, the tower stands as a single point stretching into the heavens. A mighty obelisk made with blue stone, four sided and tapering to a golden point. A statement of the power of the men and women who used to call it home.
Nearly 500 metres tall, and 50 metres wide at the base. It is wider at the base and narrows towards the top. The very top seems to be topped by a pyramid that refines to a single point which appears to be golden. It is an impossible task of engineering and architecture that can only be explained by magic.
The grounds appear to be immaculate. There are signs of salt spray, but no signs of erosion. It would almost seem that the place had been built yesterday.
The building consists of almost 120 stories. It is incredible and rivals many modern skyscrapers in terms of scale.

History

Built during the height of the power of the Zoranite Order, this building was the representation of all the worldly power of their order.
With the fall of the Zoranite Order after The Great Upstart the survivors withdrew to the Tower.
They were never seen again.
There is rumours that the descendants of the original mages still live in the tower. Some say that they all died. But no one has ever approached the Tower and lived.
