Rare Races
The so-called "magical races" were all common in the Great Kingdom of Urcia, where dozens of species mingled freely and in peace. When magic was destroyed, these races were decimated, dying off in huge swatches.Those few who survived retreated to isolated strongholds where they could attempt to survive free of the growing threat of the common races. The magical races are rarely seen in Midavel. Some are thought to be completely extinct, while others are commonly known, simply low in numbers.
A few new races have appeared since the fall of the Great Kingdom. Mostly these are the results of arcanotechnological experiments.
These are just sparse notes, and deep thought hasn't gone into most of them.
