Glimwings
General
Glimwings are of the Avilith Insectoids and come in several different subspecies, sizes, and color schemes.
The commonalities between the subspecies is that they appear to be made out of razor-sharp, stained, crystalline glass that as thin as ordinary biological wings would be.
They all give off a steady, pulsating glow as well; a glow that can either grow or lessen in intensity, though the reasons why are not fully understood.
Origin
Creator
The origin of Glimwings is not fully known. Due to their common presence within the Great Archive, there are those who believe that Archivist are their creator. However, the Archivist wholeheartedly denies this, saying He is only responsible for the particular subspecies that can be found within His domain.
Architect is most likely the creator of the Glimwings, either consciously or subconsciously, even if this cannot be proven due to the effects of the Amnesia Pulse.
Realm of Origin.
The birth realm of the Glimwings is rumored to be the White Sanctum, though they are a rare sight, according to supposed commentary from Guardian. The first instance of seeing a Glimwing, however, is to have happened within the World Smithy, sometime before the Dawn of Time.
Behaviour
The general behavior of the Glimwings is that of idle flying about and from time to time, resting while passively moving their wings, all the while giving off a pulsating glow.
If agitated, they will flutter about whatever soured their mood and attempt to inflict deadly cuts with their razor-sharp wings. Death by a thousand cuts, to be exact.
If agitated and cornered, Glimwings may take drastic action and implode, acting more or less like a bomb filled with a razor-sharp glass shard.
Genetic Descendants
This article doesn't waste my time and tells me, "Hey. Look at these neat little critters." I love articles like that and will try to make more in the future. Good job, Leno; I hope to see more of these smaller bits of your work.
