The Shirmuti speak a dialect of the Ekhmeni Language, characterized by a tendency to vocalize word-final consonants and a semi-musical-nasal tone.

Culture and cultural heritage

Shirmuti are nomads, and they often travel the trade routes that cut across the Shirmut Plateau. Thus they are primarily traders, and have a great value for the land they travel. They are also excellent navigators over land, and they know better than most anyone how to survive for prolonged periods of time in the desert with limited resources.

Common Etiquette rules

The Shirmuti have a reputation among the Ekhmeni peoples as being more blunt and crass, but this is mostly because the Shirmuti are far less concerned with formalized, ritualized social processes.

Art & Architecture

Shirmuti tapestries and fabrics are well known in Ekhmenet for being extremely colorful and patterned, often displaying dizzyingly intricate patterns and geometries. They often utilize the fact that the trade routes they travel tend to shuttle valuable dyes to get all of the colors they use.
