Keunrul

Written by Artgalles

The language of the Keunama(Alternatively known as giants), the language is one of the oldest languages there are still recordings of. For those worshipping The World Smiths will refer to it as the gods voice given to their children. But a great many others believe it was just a language like any other. A large proportion of this language builds up the runic markings used by the Daidarabotchi when enchanting objects, this leads to the idea of these fallen civilizations holding great magic knowledge. It is possible they know a greater deal about this than the Daidarabotchi has grasped. With a much greater understanding uncovering the ruins left across the world will be a lot easier as there are a great many intact documents.   Unlike most languages, it has reframed from having different dialects on the surface, though there seems to be a huge variation underground. This suggests the idea of the civilization being cut off from each other and maybe retreating, the priests of The World Smiths portray this as the Elemental elves betraying the Keunama and hunting them down forcing them to retreat and hide. Whatever the case is it did allow for a greater variation in formation, but for the few giants that remain speak a more simplistic form of the language that follows a similar vein to the Daidarabotchi language.   The language on the surface is filled with hard consonants and husky vowels. On the surface, it is quite dark and cold toned, but the majority of the words are formed from a simple yet harmonious upbeat tone. The language takes a long time to write into a sentence for its simple nature, but this simplicity gives way for it to be used in magical runes. The language is not common and a great many of the words and meanings are still being researched, one would have to be a high noble scholar to get access to resources that express the language, or the other option is the worshippers of The World Smiths who have an easier time converting from the Daidarabotchi tongue to Keunama, unfortunately converting from the language of the Daidarabotchi to the others just isn't possible.
