Ancestor Tears

When a Merrwan tribe faces the unfortunate event of losing or irreparably damaging their sacred Ryphart Amulet, a deep sense of sorrow fills their hearts, especially on the heart of the shaman whos sacred duty is to protect the amulet at all times. The shaman, as the spiritual leader, alone, needs to embark on a pilgrimage to reforge the amulet by getting the frame forged by a delicate blacksmith and then brought to a sacred site within the Arctic.   The only part where the tribe may intervene is when the entire tribe comes together to help prepare for the shaman's sacred journey. They gather essential supplies, including provisions, warm clothes, medicinal remedies, and offerings for the use of trade out of tribal society. Each member of the tribe takes part in the preparations, emphasizing the collective responsibility and commitment to restoring their connection with their ancestors.   Under the guidance of the spirits, the shaman abandons the tribe and sets forth on their pilgrimage towards a skilled blacksmith, then to the heart of their ancestral lands. During the expanse of this journey, the shaman is forbidden to cry, for their tears are to be saved for their apology to the ancestors. The journey can be arduous and challenging, often spanning several weeks or even months. During the pilgrimage, the shaman engages in daily rituals and spiritual reflections. These practices aim to strengthen their bond with the spirits of nature, seek guidance, and cleanse their hearts of the impurity that might have arisen due to the loss of their amulet.   Upon reaching the sacred site where the ice crystals form, the shaman gathers in reverence and awe. The shaman performs purification ceremonies, invoking the ancient nature spirits and their ancestors for their presence and blessings. Guided by dreams and visions, find the specific ice crystal that will become the heart of the new Frostheart Amulet. This process can take days, as the shaman seeks the crystal that resonates most strongly with the tribe's collective spirit and the memories of their ancestors. Once the shaman has found the right ice crystal, it is their apology with their own tears falling upon the amulet to freeze the crystal to the metallic frame. Once complete the shaman may return to the tribe.
