The motivation behind building Merlin's Gate

  • As series/world bible for my YA Paranormal/Urban Fantasy series that I'm writing.
  • To be able to create in depth articles on characters, setting and significant objects/places for both mine and the readers benefit.

  • The protagonist is very powerful but it will take us following her through the series for her to realise this and come to terms with it.

    • A portal has been closed for many years that is the root of all the current issues.

  • A new person coming to the village with hidden magical powers when there hasn't been anyone like this arrive for many years.
  • The closed portal signaling the end of Merlin's Gate as a place of magic.
