Ghosts
Ghosts can take many forms. Sometimes they look like the person they were in life. Sometimes they look like mice (really weird mice, sometimes). Unborn ghosts look like nine-week-old fetuses floating in the air.
Ghosts need the help of weird women to get wherever they are going at the beginning and end of life. Ghosts that linger are often called haints, though not universally. Some say that the clergy used to be able to read ghosts to rest.
This all applies to human ghosts, of course. The ghosts of fairies and animals are their own business.
