Throne of the Gods

It is said that long ago, when Meaghana gave over her body to the footsteps of life, that her surface was a smooth as the skin of a young virgin and lit only by the glow of her love for Hosia.
During this time Hosia proudly walked the land, forever vigilant against the predation of Brilla upon the young races. Brilla, knowing that he could not sow chaos under the watchful eye of his father, began to flee from him. But Hosia moved fast over the unbroken land, always keeping his wayward son in his sight.
Brilla became angered by this, and slammed his foot into the ground in a childish outburst. To his surprise, the land buckled under his foot, forming the first valley. Realizing his power to alter the surface of Meaghana, Brilla began tugging and stopping as he ran, leaving mountains and valleys in his wake. These trails and valleys called to Lythus, who in these days missed his sister terribly, and he flowed into them making the first rivers and the oceans.
Hosia realized he could not see his crafty son, climbed to the top of the highest mountain, called Penok, but still he could not see what chaos Brilla wrought. So he called to the giants who lived atop Penok to craft him a chair of white stone, and when they did he sat in it and told them to throw it as far as they could. These first giants were so strong that they managed to throw Hosia’s throne above the sky itself, and by Hosia’s will it began to move around Meaghana in search of Brilla.
This search was made more difficult by the dimming of Meaghana’s glow. She was saddened that Hosia no more walked on her surface and her sadness made dark places for the god of Chaos to hide.
Hosia became angry that he was unable to find Brilla, and he focused his righteous anger into the throne of white stone upon which he sat. The stone, being what we call fire rock, burst into holy flame with a righteous fire so hot that it brightened the darkening world, and gave birth to the first day.
This light allowed Hosia to follow Brilla wherever he went. It also allowed Meaghana to see her beloved again, and this is why all holy plants of the goddess turn to the sun, they see to see what has so gained the Goddess’ favor.
