Damon Barnes' body was completely mangled during the final explosion, triggered by Captain Yvonne, during the Battle of Vesta. He was in the last wave of Explorers' forces closing in on Vesta and just barely escaped certain death from the antimatter explosion.
After the Battle of Vesta there was chaos throughout the Explorers territory. After Damon was given extensive prosthetic for his legs, right forearm, and left arm, he began to scramble together the remnants of the Explorers, negotiate a peace deal with the humans, and start rebuilding using new tactics.
The tactics he brought to the table were centered around avoiding overt hostility and focusing on infiltration and sabotage.
Damon Barnes is the elected secretary of the Defense Committee.
