Teeth of the Crocodile

If you want to go delving into dungeons, plunder long-forgotten tombs, and hunt for powerful treasures without running afoul of the city guard, you take up membership with the Teeth of the Crocodile.
There are, of course, those who don't care, and often members of the Teeth will have to not only secure their bounties but also beat those less scrupulous folks to them lest their plunder be lost and their payday ruined.
The Teeth have built up a good reputation within Nekhsou for their ability to complete their jobs and, as such, have even made connections with other organisations within and around the city.

Structure

The Skull

Leader of the Guild. Responsible for the management of the organisation as a whole. They are the person who maintains relations with outside organisations, the nobility, and the city rulership. The Eyes directly report to the Skull, but are trusted to manage the day to day running and organisation of those below them.

The Scales

These are the people that deal with the books, the coin, and the other administrative tasks. They sign up new recruits, make sure they are paid for their work, handle any invoices and accounts, and are the go-betweens for clients and staff.

The Eyes

The captains of the Guild. Each has a small group of Jaws they are responsible for managing, ensuring they are adequately training their squadrons, that they have enough work, and that they are hitting their goals within the organisation. They are the most experienced and strongest privateers so they will take on the toughest jobs that come into the Guild, either in teams with fellow Eyes and/ or, in some cases, some Jaws if they are deemed ready, or solo.

The Jaws

These are the de facto lieutenants of the Guild. They have gained enough experience and recognition within the guild to be considered ready to lead a team of their own. They are responsible for training the Teeth in their assigned squad and getting them reasonable experience out in the field. Some are even encouraged, if requested, to go out into the world, join an adventuring party, and experience more than the relatively small sphere of influence the guild holds.

The Teeth

The Teeth are usually the youngest and/ or most inexperienced members of the Guild. They start out by being sent to do simple fetch quests, run mail or messages to and from the Guildhall, and other basic tasks to build up their understanding of the city and navigation thereof, as well as building up their strength and stamina. They are then assigned to a squad under one of the Jaws, where they begin combat training under the Eyes and start taking on lower-level requests with their squad.

Public Agenda

The Teeth are the go-to guild for dungeon delving and treasure hunting. They comprise of skilled privateers who would otherwise be on the wrong side of the law, often doing jobs for institutions and those who can afford their services.
