The Trade Faire of Lenkunu

With the village in a buzz, the trade faire brings all sorts of new friends, items, and oppurtunity.

Plot points/Scenes

The trade faire is something that happens on the island of Lenkunu once a year. It is a time where everyone from each of the Jade Isles (and in some cases farther) come together to celebrate. The celebration is home to many vendors selling their wares. The list will be below. The whole island of Lenkunu will be in great spirits and will still revere the party, but not as much as they would have if they'd brought clovers back. The floating head will be filled with people as they prepare to take part in the festivities. Driggin will have help from a dwarf for the heavy traffic. He will still revere the players above all others and offer them free breakfast. The dwarf tasked to help Driggin is Frinwol Hollowghast. The dwarf is actually a resident of Dawnkeep and speaks highly of the north. Frinwol will be friendly to the party and possesses the same knowledge Driggin does.

As the players see Therin come downstairs read

The entirety of the Floating Head is boasting with jubilant energy. This is not a tone you’ve seen recently with what's been happening, but it certainly seems genuine. You see people of all races from seemingly everywhere around the world. There stands Driggin, busy behind the bar but not too busy to say “Mornin! Heroes of Lenkunu!” and raises a mug. “Anything you have is on me today!” Driggin says in a jovial tone. As you make your way downstairs you see the shape of Captain Clovin sitting at a table, he motions you to come join him.

Captain Clovin will have a slight limp and he will show part of his foot is missing, but is in good spirits to continue. If the players mention the encounter with Utheli the Wise, he will find his presumptions to be true, and will suggest going to the island of Kovasavu. He will suggest the players enjoy themselves a bit. Take some time to unwind and enjoy the festivities. He will recommend the players take time to look for wares as this area will have many vendors. Captain Clovin will look for a ship that he can sail and bring the players along.

As the players leave the Floating Head they will come down to the center of the village where the trade fair has seem to have completely taken over. There are a large amount of stalls and even a makeshift fighting arena.

Leaving the Floating Head is followed by a wonder of a sight. Dozens of stalls accompany the once empty center of the village. You've not been in the village long, but the arrival of this trade fair has ostensibly brought life back to the village. You see races familiar and some you've never seen before. Halflings, gnomes, humans, tabaxi, elves of all kind, occasionally a tiefling, and even some dwarves from the north have come to Lenkunu to take part in the trading. Mostly what seems to catch your eye is a stand with a lone elderly tabaxi woman, a drow in the shades spinning a knife in his stall, a human next to what appears to be a fighting ring, a fisherman looking in quite a frustrated state over his stock, and a dwarf hammering away at an anvil.

The Fighting Pit

The human running the fighting pit is a tall muscular man named Orik Pillslin. He is from the west and has captured a beast from the forest and is looking for someone brave enough to wrestle it. He assures safety and has a small team of enforcers to maintain order. The beast to be wrestled is a brown bear from Fairwick Forest. Pilslin is hoping to find someone soon and is also working as the bookee for bets to be made.

If a player agrees to attempt to wrestle the bear a skill challenge will ensue. There will be 5 rounds of competing athletics checks or any other skill the player decides to use within reason. If the player is victorious they are paid out 250 gp.

The Potion Mistress

Tending to her potion apothecary is an elderly tabaxi female named Simry Goldsand. She is dark furred and sells a variety of potions and elixirs. She is welcoming to the players and will claim all of her findings are homemade or from her home in Sivripinari. Refer to her list on the corresponding tab.

The Gunslinger

Twirling a throwing knife below shade is a drow sales man from the underdark. A male drow elf named Miglo Urio is selling his guns for anyone brave enough to try them. The players will see Captain Clovin attending his shop and purchasing a pair of pistols and a blunderbuss. The drow will have a list in a corresponding tab
