The Eye of the Jade

An old lighthouse off the coast of Lenkunu, this structure once served as a lookout for sentries of the Isles. Its present shape is less than ideal, but is there more to this lighthouse than meets the eye?

Purpose / Function

A ruin of a lighthouse once used in the previous wars. It houses a small dungeon at it's basement to a revenant who was the overseer of the lighthouse. The lighthouse contains books on the history of the Isles and the wars that occurred.

Alterations

The lighthouse has aged with weather and is not in complete disarray but is nonetheless abandoned. The small glass lense of the eye has a mysterious crack in it and no sort of mending spell can fix it.

Architecture

Mostly brick and smooth stone coat the lighthouse. A small living quarters sits at the feet of the structure, but is in extremely bad condition.

History

Long ago, this lighthouse was the first line of defense against viewing threats from beyond the shores of the isles. The tall lighthouse was under the command of Jenric Hoofray, a noble and dedicated soldier. Jenric lived his life here and kept watch nearly all hours of the day. when the war broke out, Jenric was left alone in the lighthouse, and tasked to keep watch for any enemies attempting to sneak into the isles. One evening when Jenric decided to rest, a band of undead aboard a ship ransacked the lighthouse destroying as much as they could before entering the lighthouse. Jenric attacked the small militia of undead and went to retrieve his sending stone to warn the General of the surprise attack. As Jenric went for his sending stone, the leader of the undead militia cracked the focal point of the lighthouse with his magical axe, and turned to kill Jenric. Jenric was filled with a rage at this vandalism of his livelihood and was stabbed in the back by an undead minion. His soul remains trapped beneath the lighthouse. Plotting his revenge against the undead creature who filled his soul with rage and cut his life short.
