Pataya
The Ever-burning City
The northernmost town of the Wurmshire . Pataya is a border town boasting a variety of people often looking to get away from the bustle of normal life. It is said that Patayians are hardy folks who work hard and keep to themselves. Pataya sees imports stopping there first from traders moving to and from Betterden . A poorly made statue to the dragon god Marofax sealed the towns fate in an eternal never ending hell fire when it drew the dragon’s wrath.
After destruction
Before the "Failed" Harvesting, Marofax brought ruin from above on the hamlet of Pataya. He was upset about a sculpture made of him that looked shocking like Worshiper's of Alandra though this is entirely speculation. Marofax cased the town in ever burning flames forever torturing those unlucky enough to not die from his initial waves of destruction. Due to the nature of Marofax's abilities, the flames that are currently burning in Pataya do not damage its ruined structures any further, nor those stuck inside the hellfire. Those who attempt to move through these flames however are incinerated as though the Dragon had breathed directly onto them. Worse of all is that those trapped in the flames are kept alive by Marofax's magic feeling the ever-burning flames every moment.Industry & Trade
Prior to its ruin, Pataya was primarily an exporter of raw building materials. The area had several small quarries and a large number of sawmills. Outside of this Patayians enjoyed some of the nicest taverns in all of Wurmshire which were bolstered by Betterden merchants and mercenaries passing through.
Geography
Pataya is a mountainous town surrounded by an evergreen forest. Large mountains lay in the background and only about an hour travel away from the town.
