Astafrid

The realm of Maranessi

Astafrid is the realm of fey that is said to exist somewhere in the night sky. Very little is known about it but bedtime stories mention an ever dawning world with pastel colored trees and ponds of starry skies allowing those looking into them the ability to peer away in the material world.

It is believed that Maranesi is the FairyQueen referred to in a number of myths referencing the Astafrid. As such this world make Astafrid the realm of Maranesi making the world much more wicked than the lakes of wine and pastel tea parties so many of the stories speak of.

Geography

Astafrid's geography gets a bit difficult to describe due to the way time works within the plane. Since everything moves differently here there are almost none of have seen very far outside of the main courtyard and surrounding landscape because they are still out there exploring them.

The main courtyard and village has a field of poppy and moon lillies to east. A single river made of sweet melon wine runs through the field. Its start and end are both unknown. West of courtyard is deep and dark forest with hues of orange and purple. The location is filled with the so called "dark fey" who chose to live as more macabre forms. These woods are considered off limits to most and are guarded by the children's doll army. To the north massive impassible mountain that is unnamed. Due to a lack of a name the residence of the Astrafrid have taken to calling it Mt Unnamed. In doing so however the mountain has thus been named causing many residents to no longer refer to it as Mt unnamed leading to it once again being referred to as mt Unnamed. To the south is a ledge leading to what is assuming to be the edge of the realm but no one has ever checked.

Fauna & Flora

The Astafrid is populated with fey creatures of all shapes and sizes. It is a regular wonderland where time all but stops under the stariest night sky imaginable complete with a full moon. The plants of the Astafrid are all whimsical and slightly off with pastel colored grass, purple barked trees, and flowers that glow and move and dance.

As the home realm of the Fey, Astafrid's various fields and woods are filled to the brim with creatures of all sorts. Unlike on the material plane however these fey creatures are not limited to one form and will often appear in many forms making classifications like Pixie, Dryad, wisp, etc ultimately meaningless.

  Moon Lilly
Moon Lillies are small white flowers that emit a light glow. That can be ground up and used as a cure for most known sicknesses making them quiet valuable.

Feywood

A naturally occurring Ironwood that does not require intervention from a druid to be created. It has a light red finished color to it making it quite valuable as furniture material. So much so that it is sometimes referred to as red gold. Through a well kept secret technique there are some that have been know to be able to work Feywood into power armors which resist dragonfire and weapons that cut through the protections of dragonkind.
