Frostbyrn

Frostbyrn is a side effect caused by an chemical called Brightray Dichromium, which was found in early products of Advanced Alchemy, Inc. The first incidents of Frostbyrn was recorded from users of their potion, also called Frostbyrn, from their early Liquid-M product line. Although Brightray Dichromium was used as a reagent in many other Liquid-M products, Frostbyrn was the most popular of their products containing it. Most users of this product were within the Council of Midara, however a few cases in Edox and the Empire of Ulstrom had been reported before its recall.   Frostbyrn was a potion that allowed the user to will cold and fire magic, allowing them to strike their enemies with evocation magic.   There are multiple different reported side effects of Frostbyrn. Side effects of Frostbyrn included intense pain. Extended use of Brightray Dichromium caused some users to combust. Those who did not combust often became sluggish and slowed due to the rebound effect of the burst of energy the reagent gave. Some users even had slower heart rate and sometime stopped, as their hearts froze. In rare cases, users even became frozen solid. It is believed that these side effects were the results of the instability of the cold and fire evocation magic, causing its effects to turn on the user of Frostbyrn.   After many cases of adverse effects from Brightray Dichromium, Advanced Alchemy, Inc issued a recall on eight different products on their Liquid-M line and paid a large sum of money in settlement fees. AAI also stated a public statement apologizing for the incident and reassuring the public that they are devoted to the people, and will take great strides to working towards advancing their testing system to ensure better quality and safety to their consumers.
