The Inner Ring, composed of the Air Core, Earth Core, Fire Core, and Water Core.

Defences
Mallowa is not a wartorn continent, and no other cities are large enough or strong enough to dare launching even a semi-successful attack against the capital, so defense is not a priority. However, rather than leave their entire city open to the whims of whoever is walking by, the original designers of the city did put in place a huge, complex, magically-created, invisible wall just outside the Outer Ring. Once someone leaves the barrier, they can't come back in unless they go through one of the admittance stations, which crop up periodically along the magical border.
Furthermore, Regna has no military, but does have a full evacuation plan for its citizens, which leading officials have been thoroughly briefed on.
Industry & Trade
The vast majority of Renga's wealth is made through trade, primarily by capitalizing on the fact that the rest of the continent doesn't have the same access to magic as the Magi do. Different products can be made with little to no effort by Magi that would take other civilizations significant time and dedication to create. Renga also makes an important profit from their proximity to the ocean, by trading seaside resources to landlocked or desert cities.
History
Grif and Sara Renga are generally considered responsible for the creation of Renga, as they were the ones who brought over a considerable number of people in an attempt to build a brand-new city. Grif and Sara, along with the others, were an ancient kind of Mage that could control all four of the Core Elements. Despite the fact that Grif and Sara didn't live to see their dreams of a huge, expansive city become a reality, they are still credited with the conception and idea behind the grand capital.
Architecture
Architects are, without a doubt, the wealthiest people in Renga. Architecture is the city's crowning joy, and the thing that makes most Rengans proudest of when they think of their city's accomplishments. No matter the sector, the structures standing there are magnificent, and are unable to be pinned down by just one concept or idea. Of course, there is variation of architecture within the different sectors, but the quality of every building, even if they're merely wells, doesn't diminish.
Geography
Originally, the city of Renga was a range of smooth hills, populated with every kind of tree and plant known to Mallowa. When the city was first being built, however, the natural landscape had to be razed, which was considerably easier to do with the help of the original Magi's supreme elemental powers.
Natural Resources
Renga is rich in foliage and woods, two of its main exports, as well as things from the sea, such as sand, fish, seaweed, and glass.
