Tiamat, the Devourer

Tiamat was originally chosen together with Bahamut as those who would represent Dusk and Dawn, Day and Night. Tiamat and Bahamut became changed into that which would be the draconic progenitors of Malkor, and Tiamat was set to protect the people during their sleeping hours. When Bahamut became busy with the other mortals on Malkor and even neglected his own mortal children, Tiamat saw no further reason to hold herself back and wished to return to the realm of the gods. Odari, however, had seen their children as sacrilege against the gods, and banned them from ever returning. Enraged, Tiamat declared war upon Yggdrasil, but Bahamut did not stand by her. Love turned to bitter hate and sorrow, and the most legendary war ever waged begun.   Tiamat’s followers take Bahamut’s symbol and inscribe three talon-like marks across it as their symbol. In the olden times, the mark of Tiamat was a dark dragon head depicted from the side.
