Elvias was born in Harn's End to parents who had moved there from Na'Shai. Originally his parents had been grain farmers there but eventually began to be a grain broker and then moved onto help manage the grain trade in Northern Leganto and Vernilius on behalf of farmers in Na'Shai and Ashaquippa and others in central Leganto.
Elvias learned the trade business from his parents who created a quite comfortable life for their family in Harn's End. From a young age Elvias had an entrepreneurial spirit and with what support his parents could provide he only created more wealth and opportunities for himself.
About 15 years ago he was able to purchase The Albatross, the finest inn, casino, restaurant and bar in Harn's End. It often hosts diplomats from Leganto City, including a few stays by King Reynis Marvaris as well as wealthy families, business people, and guild members traveling through Harn's End. Elvias' business cunning has allowed The Albatross to prosper and for Elvias to invest in other real estate throughout the city. He also is a philanthropist, investing in many city beautification projects, educational institutions, and small businesses trying to grow in the city.
