Lost Traditions

Eldorians does not have many traditions left and during summertime only one is prominent, the Eldorian Harvest Festival.   Before the God War there were many almost countless traditions among the human empire. Now these traditions lay buried under rubble in the Forsaken Lands. When the now Eldorians fled from their old empire, they lost most of their ways and also left most of their beliefs behind. Gods are not worshipped the same way, traditions dwindled and an overall will to forget the old lands were a silent agreement.   During summer the harvest festival is the only region wide tradition, and also the only holiday recognized by all Eldorians. That said people do take part in different activities in the summer times. Children often stay up for longer and play outside for longer. Families enjoy themselves and the company of other families on gatherings all summer long, this was also very normal back in the old empire. Eldorians are very social and the smaller villages are tightly knit communities, with real values and where people trust each other.   Each god used to have their own ceremonies, some even more than one. This is very much changed, only Luxa has her own remembrance day. This was the day she made her stand for the old human empire, when she tried to defend it from destruction. This was the last week of summer, even though no humans from those events are alive today, and people try to put the gods behind them, this is still remembered and recognized. Each year fires in each village, town and city are lit to resemble the light of hope the goddess of light gave when she stood her ground.   Many traditions were lost, many forgotten and even more deserted, new land, new people, new ways.
