Beibergiest

"Beware the drunkard and the sullied, for the Beibergiest awaits..."
From Antimony's Book of Tall Tales

Beibergiests is the name of a collection of Humanoids known to exist in Madera. Although most of their nature and history is shrouded in mystery, stories about them have been recorded over the millennia.    In these Beibergiests are best described as the offspring of the essence of liquors and other creatures. Although the methods are different most tales of their creation involve a spectral force of an alcohol taking a physical form and mating with another humanoid. From this act Beibergeists are born.    They often serve as the antagonists of stories, punishing misbehaving children or adults with loose morals. The Beibergiests are said to feed on their essence and leave them in a drained and depressed state.    Due to their infamy, taverns sometimes have ceremonial shrines in their corners with offerings of fine liquors meant to protect their patrons.    Two Beibergiests have been encountered by the party. Zurbil revealed himself to be one near the end of the party's time in Greenwood Village after he grew his son Zurbil Jr. out of an egg. The party was unaware of Zurbil's true nature, but his actions did not match those of the described fairy tale monsters.
