The Line of Champions ends when Champion Asteria is killed by rogue mages.

On the seventh moon cycle, 26 days in, a group of rogue mages attacked the island of Mages. Champion Asteria would confront the rogues well the remaining mages would evaluate the island, due to a fire being started by the rogues. When confronting the rogues, Champion Asteria was slain, and the rest of the islands were burned. This would trigger an attack from the remaining mages, and they would quickly begin another hunt for the Champion. The rogues would travel mainland, beginning their conquest.
