Once, the world was filled with magic. And then it started to die. For a thousand years of it became weaker and weaker and withered away, but over 20 years ago, the magic started to return, to grow in strength. And its not just magic- creatures once extinct are returning, and Ethereals-god-like creatures with incredible magic- are coming out of the shadows, whispering of a return of a Power that will change the world. Graffiti covers the streets of cities and towns all over the two continents Viare and Convera, promising a savior only known as the Champion will liberate them and all Magic from the grip of the Church of the One God. The Church works to ensure this rising power remains in their hands. Assassins work in the Shadows, as some remember their original purpose.
