During a reality ending event now known as the cataclysm, 4 heroes selflessly sacrificed their lives to so stop the event from happening. in doing so the created a new merging of realities across what is known as the Asterial sea. Islands pop into existence from other realities and universes across the Asterial sea creating an ever growing universe. Explorers merchants and pirates swarm the seas to locate new islands and opportunity. The world of Yggdrasil stands at the center creating a home for all who inhabit the macrocosm and a capital city filled with opportunity.
