An army of roughly 100 goblins from the Cragmaw tribe, led by Iarno “Glasstaff” Albrek came to destroy the village. The 3 adventurers that saved the village from the Redbrands were in the village and decided to lead the village in combat, they gathered every able body from across the village and sent the weaker folks into hiding in the inn. The fight was long, bloody, and across multiple fronts, the village was victorious, but suffered heavy losses.

A Memorial Day was unanimously declared by the villagers, and a ceremony for the remembrance of the glorious battle and to remember the sacrifices of the fallen was set that day. The ceremony involves the town master whistling for one minute, using the whistle that was given to the villagers by the original saviors, Abrams, Eldes, and Thorin. During that minute the villagers stand in silence and remember the fallen.
