Jackdaw is a senior member of the Parna Valvur, or Parna guard. Before joining the guard he was a warrior and an adventurer but returned to his home to serve Parna’s residents. As a warrior he was a member of the Order of Lazdell, an order of fighters sworn to defeat evil throughout the world.
Recently, the Captain of the Valvur, Asemel Ero, has been concerned about loyalties within the Valvur. Jackdaw was sent by Captain Ero on a recruitment mission to bring new blood to the Valvur who aren’t tainted or corrupted in some way. He was captured by the slavers early in his mission so wasn’t able to achieve his goal. It is obvious that has a great deal of respect for Asemel and believes she is essential to the future of the Valvur.
He is eager to show you Parna and he speaks of it with great affection. His pride in the independence of his homeland is clearly evident yet he expresses concern that there are forces at work planning to undermine Parnathia’s long-standing status. The first place he hopes to take you is the Silent Siren, the inn owned by his cousin Mirgošana.
