Introduction
The ghost fox of Ami Psalma is a rarely seen dog like creature of the Ami Psalma desert. The first sightings of these curious creatures was during the Era of Aldra's reign when men went into the desert to seek DiaPsalma for the secret of magic. Those who returned reported ghost like dogs who led them astray or vanished into the dunes.Basic Information
Anatomy
These clever desert foxes have long slender bodies that lay short to the ground. They have four stocky legs and large rounded triangular ears which telescope on either side of its head. They are a sandy white color speckled with orange and dark brown on its shoulder and torso midline toward the tail. They have short pointed muzzles and make a musical yipping yap sound when calling to each other.
Genetics and Reproduction
Reproducing sexually this species lives in small family groups having 4-6 kits every two ages. Gestation is on average two Gaian months.
Growth Rate & Stages
The average lifespan for The Ami Psalma Ghost Fox is unknown but other ghost foxes live up to 20 ages which is 200 Gaian years.
Ecology and Habitats
The Ghost Fox is native to desert environments, particularly Ami Psalma. These intrepid foxes hunt and forage at dusk. During the day they burrow in shared burrows of their small family unit.
Dietary Needs and Habits
The Ghost fox is a forager/scavenger which may occasionally hunt. They eat a range of foods such as desert plants and other small desert creatures. These foxes retain water from their food and therefore do not need to drink.
