Mina Mafuqudan: The Port of the Lost- By Koraki Kanosis

Introduction 

Mina Mafuqudan is a port town on the other side of the Ryoja Fell mountains. It is known for its loud music, use of coal powered electricity, its bar scene and night life. The name Mina Mafuqudan translates to "lost port". There has always been people in Mina Mafuqudan as it has always been a trade post. It became a town known for trouble only during the end of Hurston's Rule when a population boom occurred as people fled Aldaria and the war.

Demographics

Most of the population are half dragons which is unusual for the country of Islana where the city was located. It was one of the few places in Islana where many peoples could be found such as, derverg, dokkalf, fae, celestial, and the like. The city is mostly middle class workers but there are obviously the wealthy casino owners.

Government

Islana was, at the beginning of Koraki's reign, a province of Aldaria but the "Dissolution Act" made all kingdoms conquered by Gori independent again. There was contention with which country Mina Mafuqudan belonged especially as the culture in the city fit none of its surrounding peoples. Ultimately Islana surrendered Mina Mafuqudan to Aldaria after the Islana Conflict. It now has a Governor as all other large Aldarian cities do.

Industry & Trade

The city began as a trade port between Eldurina and other continents. Many would say its most lucrative industry is its brothels, but these brothels are only on the main strip where all the gaming and restaurants are.

Infrastructure

The city is powered by the only coal operated power plant in Eldurina. Side note this is actually a violation of our clean environment act and we are in process of converting the city to cleaner energy sources. They, as all major Aldarian cities, have indoor plumbing and sewage systems. They have both Airships and a Sea port.
