Ancient Drakonix - By Anika Tsuki

Building a language is complex and takes a lot of time and effort. More so since I am not wealthy to where i can afford to subscribe to tools others use for such tasks. This article and all others that are languages are works in progress.

Introduction

Ancient Drakonix is the old dragon language lost now to the Dragon war. While a few still can read it even less speak it today. Drakonix was first spoken in Drakonia as the countries native tongue. Drakonia was and is seen as the land of demons but the truth is it is the birthplace of dragons in Eldurina.   I am still in the study of this ancient language but it is much like a mixture of a Gaian tigers growling and a Gaian snakes hissing. The mechanics of the language is based in sharp pointed consonants at beginnings of words such as D, or T and ending most of them with X or S or Z. The vowels are many and varied in sound just are the s and z sounds are. You can have high I sounds to deep UGH sounds.   Drakonia's people wrote this language in a runic script as did Dragons. The Gaianized alphabet I provided is not how they originally wrote their letters. At a later point I shall attach some of the script from my books on the language.   Many compare the language to modern Draconic but the modern Draconic language was not derived from Lysandus at all but from Gaians who still have access to dream portals to Gaia. There is some interesting similarities which makes one wonder if Gaian's created Draconic after hearing Drakonix spoken by an ancient dragon who still knew the language. One may never know.
