Esper

A vast body of magical and psionicly potent creatures which have few features in common. What they have in common is inky black blood, and a central 'heart', which functions as a power source and seat of consciousness. If bodily destroyed, an esper can regenerate from it's heart. The heart, however, can be destroyed. The appearance of an esper's heart varies by species.
