Session 0/1 Conclusion:
General Summary
Kai, Sirus, Ayatani Zweil, Oliver Wolf, and Axios traveled by luxury aircraft to the mystical land of Lunarmyre, where the twin kings commissioned them to meet with agents of theirs to find an ancient artifact that allows them communion with the Lunar Goddess that blesses their land to this day. They arrived in Mooreview, the port lakeside port town known as the "Hub of Trade and Travel", where they met with their respective agents.
Sirus (Eli), Kai (Stefan) and Oliver Wolf (Dylan) were sent letters by King Max, offered 500 million gold and a dragon egg, and were told to meet with his agent named Frederick Smithson at the inn called Mearls Mead, a front for agents of the King Max.
Ayatani Zweil (Paris) and Axios (Chandler) were sent letters by King Dax, offered 550 million and a phoenix egg, and were told to meet with his agent named Albert Starson at the inn called Allens Ale, a front for agents of King Dax.
When the party met with their respective agents of the king that hired them, they were asked to 'waylay his rival and their hirelings', which was the other half of the party. Both NPC's Fred and Al has similar ideas of poisoning plots to waylay the other group, with Fred wanting to poison Al's drink, and Al wanting to poison Fred's goat.
The party listened warily and followed their own intuitions as they approached their implored destinations, with the party eventally piling into the Casino, 'Lucky Lenny's Lap of Luxury', but not before their own antics. Zweil got lost looking for Shoggys and started to hoot at the moon, Oliver was helping the old man and also was looking for the warforged that Fred mentioned, and Kai was watching and even jumped onto the roof with Ayatani. Axios went to the stable like asked but was tailed by Sirus, which he noticed, and instead went into the Casino.
The party encountered one another and got distracted from their goal, interacting with one another, leading Fred and Al to get involved. Al told Axios he would distract the other group, which for some reason had Zweil added to it with him perched on Oliver's shoulder, and Axios snuck off to the stable to poison the Giant Goat Godfrey. Unfortunately, he failed miserably at his approach to the goat, where he ate the poison given to him by Albert labeled "goat nap", and he caused a commotion in front of the Stable, which led to everyone going outside.
Tensions rose as the plots against one another came out, and Fred and Al began to fight savagely, throwing punches, livestock and even shit. The party watched this transpire while making their remarks until guards of the mayor, Tom Hiddleton, approached and escorted them all to his manor, at his personal request. There, the party cleaned up and met with the portly mayor who barely fit in his clothes and lived lavishly.
He implored the party to work together, even Fred and Al, saying that its in everyones best interest that the Kings work together and it would benefit all if the party sought out their goal together. However, Zweil noticed that Tom knew more than he was letting on, and the party grew suspicious of him, and Oliver referred to him as 'big guy", which he hated. Nevertheless, he set the party off, and Fred and Al agreed to a temporary truce. They both have the same contact, and have decided to meet them together with the party in tow to get the lead on the "Moonstone Tear".
The party was given a stipend of 5,000 gold two hours to explore the shops of Moorewview. Some purchased things, while others merely browsed or didn't shop altogether. Kai brandished his letter from the King as a mark of authority to get better pricing at the Blackmsmith, Zweil didn't find shoggys, and Oliver charmed a merchant to get a better price from a swindling, potion selling halfling. Axios also got himself the G.R.A.P.P.L.E.R, a valuable prosthesis. The party also heard whisperings of hunters going missing in the woods to the north.
Finally, the party ventured north after they were done to meet with Fred and Al once more in the Walking Woods forest, where they would meet their mutual contact, Jobin. Before entering, the guards mentioned that hunters have been disappearing recently in the woods, something they heard earlier. They began to journey forth, looking around, foraging, interacting with one another, or being stoic.
What will happen when they go to meet their contact Jobin in the Walking Woods?
