The Aust'a tribe is thought to be the tribe that discovered the push and pull of the moon on the ocean, created the system of writing, and united all four tribes.
Common Customs, traditions and rituals
The custom of CumOmnes is held every 6 months, either in the month of Sex or the month of De'e, both on the fourth. It is a discussion of all that the other 3 tribes are going through, and how the Aust'a can help them.
Funerary and Memorial customs
The dead are put onto small boats which are lit on fire. The burning of the body which releases one's spirit into the air is thought to speed the process of ascending to be with Lu'um.
