Vecna

Vecna the Lich Lord presides over villainous mages, conspiring polticians, and envious servants as the dark god of necromancy, undeath, and secrets. He was once a powerful and dangerously clever archmage, he ascended to turn into a lich. However, his hunger for dominion over all mysterious went unstated, and his obsession with conquering the pantheon led to his destruction, leaving behind only his left hand and eye. Over the ages, his spirit reformed and managed to follow in the footsteps of the Raven Queen, ascending to godhood and becoming one of the newest gods to walk Lumarvis.
An experiment of his went wrong, however, trapping him in a demiplane just off the material plane, where he is unable to find his way off of. In this plane, he floats weightlessly, attempting to construct any portal away. Eventually, he would come across a sudden rip in the fabric of this plane where he could communicate, and interact, with the material plane, though not pass through himself. He could hear the voice of what could only be an incredibly powerful wizard on the opposite side and sought to use their knowledge for himself in an attempt to escape the demiplane. However, she proves to be hesitant, needing more careful prodding before she will be willing to do what must be done to free him.
Vecna is depicted as a large, skeletal figure with tattered black robes and enchanted jewels missing his left hand and left eye.
  Commandments of Vecna:
Learn all you can and keep hidden that which you know. Reveal what pieces you must, but never reveal the whole.
Express and cultivate Evil within yourself and in doing so, recognize it in others to exploit them for your own benefit.
Seed the ruin of all who worship other deities until only those who kneel before Vecna remain.
