Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Tall and hardy from good breeding and an active lifestyle. He sports the full beard common amongst the harrier Weinkaufians that still has colour to it. Despite his age, he retains youth and vigour, possibly in part due to his magical affinity.

Apparel & Accessories

Is typically garbed in royal regalia that includes an ornamental cuirass and medals from his wars and campaigns. In a pinch, he can summon his Battle Mage apparel, which includes pauldrons, greaves and sleeves. He wears a distinct crown that is gilded and decorated with precious stones. The crown itself is an ancestral piece but was merged by the Barron himself with relics he found in ancient tombs for a more elaborate and magical crown.

Education

Raised with court scholars educating him, young Cambrigan demonstrated an aptitude for sorcery and in adulthood, was sent to the Academia Arcana in Ereldur for formal education in magic.

Employment

As the son of minor nobility, he wanted for little. His first pursuit was a full time student in Wienkauf's war collage and then the magic academy in Ereldur. Then he became an adventurer, traveling the bad lands and unknown regions with his friends and war forged family. After accumulating much wealth in relics, money, and knowledge, he returned to Weinkauf to resume his father's throne as the Barron.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Honour Graduate at the Academia Arcana. Uncovered the Ethereal Tombs and entered the void between universes. Pilgrimaged to World's End across the mountains. Traveled across the waters and saw the Kraken, and lived to tell about it. Fought in battles with barbarian hordes. Signed the Treaty of Friendship with Amistad and Ereldur. Sponsors the ambitious road building process.

Failures & Embarrassments

Disastrous relationship with the famed Crystal Cleric. An unspecified incident in youth that older gentleman still chuckle about in front of the confused youngions, involves Sarris, a goat, and a yacht.

Intellectual Characteristics

The Barron has an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. He is scholarly and is said to have read one thousand scrolls before even graduating the war collage and doesn't own a mirrar. He was an accomplished battle mage and wrote spell books, some of which are in the curriculum at both the War Collage (Proper Deployment of Battle Mages) and the Academia (Practicle Applications of Magic in War), as well as light novellas that are popular in the city. Over his adventures, he surveyed the land that was recovering from the Cataclysm and collected knowledge and lore from ruins, other settlements and relics of unknown power. He continues to sponsor similar adventures as Barron, as well as continuing to cultivate learning with his university programme and laboratories in the castle. He has recently developed an interest in mechanical sciences, such as alchemy, lighter than air travel and underwater exploration. The idea of a unified empire seen in the old world inspires him to expand his domain and reach out across the wasteland to unite the fragmented world.
