Restway Harbour
Restway harbour is easily the busiest harbour in the world and see the approach pf several dozen ships a day. The break water is quite small but has significantly grown over the past few years to make way for the new ships arriving every week. Merhcant stalls dot the perimieter and merchants houses also line the streets nearby. Any well-respected merchant has a house on the Rue de Restour, one road up from the harbour district. The road is also a common marketplace some days of the week.
Purpose / Function
The port takes in many of the city's imports and is used for its many exports. There are a few harbours up the eastern coast that ferry silver down to the city.
Alterations
In recent years, the breakwater has grown to a significant size and now covers enough water to moor nearly 150 vessels.
Architecture
Older houses line the Rue de Restour as they are rememnants from before the age of the UCON. but the further to the coast one goes, the older the buildings become. the breakwater starts nearest to the city as old, large sandstone blockas and then becomes newer marble as one reaches the extension. it is through this that one can marvel at the size of the reconstruction and remodeling.
History
The port has existed since 1033 and was built under the guidance of Devar III in an attempt to attract more settlers to the city.
