Thran Steelwood

TownMaster Thran Dilvion Steelwood

The Townmaster of Barrabegs. A dwarf from under the Cliffs of Allerwain; born to dwarf family - his mother from Lower Almora, his Father from the Upper.
A breif history
Worked as a mine manager in the cut of Allerwain and into the Trodeen Mountains - after losing his beloved to once his best friend, he left the mountains and headed for the seas. Joining a roving band of miscreants at Suncester, he roamed the Expanse riding down to the Dry Sea and all the way to the Frozen Isles and back again, before eventually washing ashore the city of Warrington where he saw the technologies of man grow ever so impressive - he decided he would make his life anew here.
He took a job working for the mines in the Summersrange for nearly a decade, where he saved many a foolish miner from slipping on the thick ice into the depths of the mine below, eventually his deeds in the mine and his eye for finding safety violations led him to be placed as commissioner for the last townmaster, and eventually took on the role of Advisor in 205 - With the eventual passing of the last Townmaster in 207, Thran was ineveitably sworn having earned a vast majority of votes in in the year 208 and has been townmaster ever since.
the Tribulation War
At the start of the Tribulation War, Barrabegs was one of the first to fall to the undead scourge. Having sent a majority of his people to the Bastion a small band of thirty sturdy miners stayed to defend what they could of their home - setting up fortifications, building ramparts and loading cannons to combat the Undead. With the Aid of the Triboar Travelers, Thran was able to defeat the undead assailing the city, and with their aid traveled to the Bastion passing through the Summers Range.
Having become friends with Zael in the year 212 when he first arrived on Warrington, as the hulking man was looking for a place to settle and form a home for his mercenary band. Thran suggested he try the weathered keep of Callaird, suggesting he take Sandival Pass rather than pass through the Mountains - the alliance with the Goliaths had grown uneasy since the Mourningslayers where removed from Chiefdom there had been little contact between the two.
