Dorothic (Northmen)

The Dorothic are one of the larger cultures of Northmen, mostly found in the extreme north of Hebronia. Their ancestors were ferocious sea-raiders and worshippers of the old gods. Over the past two hundred years, the Church of The Holy Trinity has slowly become the dominant faith, though religion is still a major source of contention. The people are generally fair in their dealings but they are still very much as war-like as their forebears.

    Shared customary codes and values

Men are taught that the greatest virtue is loyalty, both to his peers and to his lord. Honour and devoutness to one's religion is also held in high esteem, for both men and women. From a young age, they are taught to be their own person, only 'collectivising' against common threats.

    Ideals

    Beauty Ideals

Dorothic people, like other Northmen, are fairly relaxed about beauty standards and see fixation on such matters as trivial, vain at worst. Though, men and women alike do admire strong and sturdy builds.

    Gender Ideals

Men of strong builds are preferred, as are women who are bold and fierce as it is believed they will raise strong sons.
