Big Cats

Cheetahs

Cheetahs hail from the grassy plains of Sowande and are famous for their awesome speed. They avoid entering territories of other apex predators especially the Baharo lion. Cheetahs often climb tall trees to get a better view over the vast grasslands.

Lions

Thalamassian lions   Long thought to have gone extinct due to over-hunting, the Thalamassian lions were native to Hebronia's south-east. Their most famous feature were their metal-like scales that made them impervious to blades or arrows. In prehistory, they were a considerable threat to early man and were said to have wiped out whole villages.   Baharo lions   The grassy plains of Sowande's enormous interior are home the most numerous of big cats. Widely believed to be the largest of lions, their most notable feature are the 'manes' of purple quills that both sexes possess. These quills contain a sticky, black substance that traps its prey and renders it helpless. The lion is important to tribes within the grasslands as young men must successfully hunt one before they can marry.   Average height, males: 1.36 meters or 4'4"   Average height, females: 1.12 meters or 3'6"

Tigers

Naglor tigers   Far to the east in the jungles of Pangor are tigers with the ability to mimic intelligent beings to lure their prey from where they'll be pounced upon from the tall canopy. They are able to conceal themselves to an extraordinary degree, often appearing invisible. Their shimmering pelts are highly sought after in western markets.
