Vis-comms arw one of several visual projection aids used for communication or delivering of images or video. They range in size from compact handhelds, to massive stadium filling displays.
The device creates a pseudo three-dimensional image from a two-dimension scan by using specific wavelengths of light that are prone to intercepting microscopic dust particles. In the case of uses in hermetically sealed areas, a ionized vacuum tube envelops the display volume in order to present the image.
I really love the science behind these, that they use dust particles and they have to use specialised extras if there is no dust.
