Asymptotes

Asymptotes are RAIs/Zeds who have no outer symptoms of the Rumase-Associated Illness (Z-Virus). They cannot enter a RAASC (Rumase-Associated Altered State of Consciousness) and do not drool excessively.
About half of all asymptotes cannot perform Uptaking and Melding, meaning that the Z-virus is essentially useless to them. These asymptotes are more likely to also be unable to spread the Z-virus -- either it never took root in their body in the first place (no turning point occurs) or it somehow destroyed by the immune system (which is extremely rare if a turning point has happened).
If an asymptote is a Jiangshi or Mercers then it is possible for them to express symptoms of the C-Virus and T-Virus respectively. The term asymptote only is used with regard to Z-virus symptoms.
