Pachul (Pay-SHUHL)

Pachul is a fur hat worn by men and women, but mostly men on Lexicon. The hat has the general appearance of a cylinder with one open end and is set upon the head in such a way as to have the brim touch the temples. They are fur-lined inside and some have earflaps. Their purpose is to keep the head warm in winter. Despite how they look rather stiff, they can be folded flat for keeping or carrying when not being worn. On the top and middle are bands of black fabric that have been embroidered. Pachul, despite it's purpose, is regarded as indoor wear, and thought of as more formal. It is isn't worn with typical heavy winter gear outside.
